Fume Cupboard Testing & Commissioning
Arrange fume cupboard performance testing and commissioning with Premier LEV. We coordinate specialist engineers for customer sites, with the work scoped to your cupboard, installation and laboratory activities.

Testing an existing cupboard
Share the cupboard make and model, previous report and details of the substances and processes used. We agree the relevant examination and performance checks, which may include condition, airflow measurements, airflow visualisation and checks of indicators, alarms and sash operation.
Room ventilation, nearby doors, equipment inside the cupboard and working practices can affect containment. A single face-velocity reading does not describe every aspect of performance. Any additional containment test or specialist method must be identified in the agreed scope.
Commissioning a new or changed installation
Commissioning establishes whether the installed system meets its agreed design and performance requirements. Provide the design information, intended operating conditions and any manufacturer instructions before the visit. We record the test conditions, findings and limitations to support a useful baseline for future examination.
See our LEV commissioning service and the approved fume cupboard commissioning case study.
Ducted and recirculating equipment
Tell us whether the cupboard exhausts outdoors or returns filtered air to the room. Filter selection, suitability for the substances handled and maintenance requirements need to match the application. HEPA filtration does not remove every gas or vapour, and a recirculating cupboard needs an equipment-specific assessment.
Reports and follow-up
The agreed report identifies the equipment, methods, conditions, results and recommended actions. Premier LEV remains your point of contact, with specialist attendance delivered through specialist engineers. Any remedial work, replacement filters and retesting can be scoped from the findings.
Send your postcode, cupboard details and previous report. For your wider extraction systems, see LEV testing and examination.
